ST. LOUIS, MO – ARTUR EXPRESS, INC, a St. Louis based transportation and logistics company, is placing a major focus on driver safety going in to 2020! As a part of this push, a new Director of Equipment & Safety Operations has been named. In addition to managing company equipment, Peter Jasinski, formerly Fleet Performance Manager, will be heading up this new department.
“As we continue to grow as a company, maintaining our equipment and focusing on driver safety have to be two of our main focuses. As our fleet continues to grow, we have to expand our staff as well. Peter’s experience as a former driver with 3.5 million safe miles, makes him the perfect person for this job.” said Vice President of Operations,Kristi Randall. “With this addition we will be able to offer more training and education to our drivers, helping every driver to make safer and smarter decisions and keep our highways safe.”
When asked about this opportunity, Peter said “I come from a family well engrossed in the trucking industry. My father is a driver, I have over 20 years’ experience on the road and my son is a dispatcher. It’s in our blood; it’s our way of living. I am very excited about this great opportunity and I look forward to working more directly with drivers and staff to make a difference for everyone out on the road.”
